Use this for a last minute prayer focus for your staff and volunteers before Easter Services

Here is a last minute resource for your leadership prior to Easter services.

As Sherpa’s guiding people toward the summit of full connection with God and our churches, we can be both hyper-focused and out of focused at the same time.

Especially on Easter.

By nature, we focus on our job, our role on the team, our tasks, our hospitality toward guests this Easter. I imagine that like a Sherpa, we can easily let our mission of helping guests on the climb toward this summit eclipse our dependance on the One who leads and empowers us.

That is where prayer, both as individual and in huddles, comes in.

Like you, we are getting ready to open up our doors for Good Friday and Easter services. Danny Larsh, our Weekend Experience Director, just sent our entire staff these 5 prayer focuses so that we don’t loose focus on what is important, needed, and necessary amidst all the tasks.

God hears prayer and moves when we pray. So with slight adaptation and gratitude to Danny, here is a resource for your personal prayer, staff and team huddles prior to Easter.

Easter Prayer Points:

1. That our staff, members and regular attendees would be bold in our invite opportunities. Most people are willing to attend a church, if only someone they knew simply asked them.

2. That our weekend teams would all execute at a high level, looking for opportunities to create memorable experiences, one person at a time.

3. For our new guests - that they would feel welcomed, valued, and decide to make our church home.

4. For our Lead Pastor, that God would give him the perfect words to reach hundreds of lost souls, who would then respond to the Holy Spirit’s call to walk into a relationship with Jesus.

5. For our follow-up teams, as they experience firsthand the fruits of God’s work in people’s hearts and witness life-transformation through 1st time decisions and baptisms.

What you and your teams do for others matters. Hope this is a useful resource for last minute focus and empowerment for you and your first impression teams this Easter.

More and more power to you!
