Introducing my new Lead Sherpa

This is Tommy Carreras. I love this guy and want to introduce him to you. Why? Because, he is my new Lead Sherpa at Climbing the Assimilayas!

Let me tell you first about Tommy:

  • I’ve known him for over a decade.

  • We met when he attended my first ever Base Camp.

  • He had a very similar role to mine at his church (Mission Church in Ventura CA).

  • We have kept in touch and compared notes from a like-minded perspective over the years.

  • He is strategic, an incredible communicator, and a coach.

  • He is entrepreneurial in several ministry endeavors that have really made a difference in the lives of people—especially church leaders.

I could go on, but I am confident that you will experience even more than I can share here in the coming season, because you are a part of this movement of Sherpas, helping people reach new summits of community together.

Here’s what you can expect from Tommy:

  • His face and insights in many of our zoom sessions, both one-on-one and some CTA’s cohort-type sessions as well.

  • Occasional posts that bring solutions and breakthroughs for the climb we are leadings guests on together.

  • His help with correspondence.

  • His physical presence at certain Base Camp type offerings.

  • His fingerprints and creativity on new digital offerings to resource your ministry and multiply the success of your efforts.

Why add Tommy to my team?

Because at the end of the day, I am a pastor at a local church (with multiple campuses), just like many of you. As the demand for CTA grows, my time hasn’t grown to match those opportunities. So to keep my first call in first place, I am multiplying CTA’s impact through a new strategic relationship with Tommy.

What’s Next?

  • Added value to the CTA Video course (free of charge to those who have already purchased it and are using it). More to come on this very soon…

  • More frequent posts with usable tactics and insights to help and encourage you and your team.

  • More cohort-style Zoom sessions (my pilot group was awesome and more options are coming).

  • A series of posts on assimilation & guest service learnings from my current Sabbatical, especially from my experiences in Italy

Looking forward to a great year together, serving people who are seeking Jesus and wanting to make the climb toward an authentic connection with him and others at your church.
